Pledging Requirements

01

 Pledging Fee

There is a pledging fee of $70 that is used completely to provide each pledge with the best experience possible in getting acquainted with the fraternity. However, we do not want money to be the reason someone does not join, so if this is an issue please let us know.

03

Brotherhood Meetings

You will have your own weekly pledge meetings to bond with your pledge class and learn the basics of APO, but you will also attend 5 brotherhood meetings during the semester. This is a great opportunity to stay up to date and meet some brothers!

05

Meet Brothers

As much as you bond within your pledge class, we want you to feel welcome within the entire brotherhood after you are initiated. To do this we give you the opportunity to interview brothers, and get to know them. They have all had to do the same!

02

Service Hours

Each pledge is asked to complete 20 hours of service, the same as brothers, to join. This may seem intimidating, but events our planned by APO so it is just a matter of signing up for what you like and having some fun! You can also do some outside service too.

04

Learning

You will learn a lot at your weekly pledge meetings from our pledge guide and since this is the foundation that will help you succeed in APO, there will be short knowledge check each week. You only need a 80% and can retake as much as needed so don't fret!

06

Have Fun!

We want this process to be informative, but is also meant to be incredibly fun! That is why we include a overnight pledge retreat, big-little pairing, and specific pledge events! We want to get to know you as much as we want you to get to know us.

From a shy, scared freshman to the President of APO in my senior year, this organization has changed my life. You make lifelong friends here. For example, next year I will be a bridesmaid in my Pledge Guide's and best friends' wedding.
